Interpreted from a 19th Century image from an English furniture catalog printed in London by G. Taylor between 1830-1850. The catalog is part of the extensive library at the Winterthur Museum. The barrel-back chair that inspired the Samuel Wing Chair appeared in print as early as 1803. The Samuel Wing chair features narrow, square capped arms, a perfectly contoured back with small, shapely wings and slender tapered front posts with splayed back legs. A Spring-Down seat cushion and NS-08 Old Brass nail head trim are standard. Optional remove nails for no upcharge.
